Activities
Paris
On Wednesday October 23rd thirty students from St. Mary’s set off for Paris, accompanied by Mr. O Donovan, Ms. Wallis and Ms. O Keeffe. We landed in Charles de Gaulle airport and made our way through the busy city of Paris to the Sacre Coeur. Beautiful scenery surrounded us wherever we went, not least at the Eiffel Tower, later that evening. We sailed along the Seine and took in the beauty of the City on Thursday morning, followed by a bus tour of the city. It was then time to do a spot of shopping and we weren’t disappointed! Bags in hand, we made our way back to our bus and made our way to the Aqua Boulevard, where we had great craic. Cite des Sciences was our first stop on Friday morning and we enjoyed a busy two hours exploring the scientific wonders to be found there. Asterix theme park was our next stop and we spent a fun-filled afternoon on rollercoasters, haunted houses and water rides! We paid a visit to the famous Champs Elysees, later that evening. On Saturday, it was time to say goodbye to the city and on our way to the airport ,we paid a visit to the majestic palace of Versailles. We got home on Saturday night tired, but very content! It was a trip that none of us will forget, for a long time to come. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the organiser of this fabulous trip, Ms. Wallis. Thank You!
