At St Mary’s, we provide for the holistic development of all our students. Every individual student brings something unique to our school and we value and nurture this. We aim to bring out the best in every student and subsequently help them find their own niche in life.

St Mary’s has been in existence for almost 180 years and is renowned Nationally for academic excellence, innovation, competition and care. Over the years the achievements of our students in examinations have consistently exceeded National standards. On Average 30% of our LC students achieve over 500 points, 60% over 400 points whilst all our students achieve to their maximum potential at all levels. Great care is taken to ensure that every student achieves to her maximum potential.
Our students also learn the joy, excitement and challenge of competition in a variety of areas at all levels. The success of our students in sports, young enterprise, debating, public speaking, music, choir, drama and many more are a source of great pride to every one associated with our school.

Our student body comprising of 380 girls share a common appreciation for the value of good character, hard work, responsibility and leadership. They come from the surrounding communities of Charleville, Ballyhea, Dromina, Newtown, Milford, Ballyagran, Kilmallock, Granagh, Banogue, Effin, Bruree and beyond.

Our highly skilled motivated staff bring with them a wide range of experience, talents and skills ensuring high quality provision of education to all our students. They all share a dedication to the mission of the school striving to ensure the holistic education of all.
