The Opera Workshop.
During T.Y we participated in an Opera workshop. Professional singers came in to the school and performed in the opera “Un Ballo In Maschera” by Giuseppe Verdi for us. It was wonderful they were extremely talented and had a high standard of excellence. I enjoyed it immensely.
After the opera they took twenty of us and helped us to produce our own opera to my delight I was one of the twenty picked. It was fantastic they did voice exercises with us and played various games with us to get our imagination going. They helped us to make up a story together using different ideas from every member of the group. They then helped us to put it to music, singing our lines instead of saying them and picking suitable tones to match the personality of our different characters.
