Science is one of the core subjects in St Marys. Students study the Biological World, Physical World, Chemical World and Earth & Space over the three years at Junior Cycle (common level).<\/span><\/h5>

In second year students carry out their CBA 1 – Extended Experimental investigation. Students get to research, plan and design their own experiment and submit a written report to their teacher over a three week period.<\/span><\/h5>

In third year students carry out their CBA 2 – Science in Society. Students get to research and investigate an issue that interests them.<\/span><\/h5>

In TY students get a taste of four sciences Biology, Physics, and Chemistry\u00a0 in the hope to make a more informed decision for Leaving Cert subjects.<\/span><\/h5>

Options for Leaving Cert students include Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Agricultural Science both at higher and ordinary level.<\/span><\/h5>
