Page Turners Mini-Company

As part of young enterprise transition year students set up a mini company. Students applied for positions within this company and interviews were held just like in real life scenarios. The company was formed and produced a ‘Hair and Beauty’ booklet and a ‘Know Your Computer’ booklet. Under the watchful eye of teacher Ms. Creedon, we took our products to three separate trade fairs.

• The first trade fair was held in the Cork Marts in Fermoy. This exhibition was sponsored by the North Cork Enterprise Board and Page Turners won ‘Best Overall Company’ in the senior category.
• The second trade fair was held in Mallow and Page Turners received a prize for ‘Best Presentation and Interview’.
• The third and final trade fair was in Vienna Woods in Cork. ‘Page Turners’ won a prize for coming 2nd place in Marketing at this fair.
